Library: Friends of the Library book sale Saturday
Kellie Tomita

The Friends of the Library book sales are back in business. Everyone is invited to browse thousands of titles donated by the community as well as library discards Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m., at Headquarters Library, 300 Maiden Lane in Fayetteville.

After a hiatus caused by the fire at Headquarters Library in 2008, the sale returns to a newly remodeled and greatly expanded book sale room.

Most prices are 50 cents for all adult and youth hardbacks, paperbacks and CDs, DVDs, records, videos and tapes. Magazines are 10 cents each.

You'll find everything from gardening to history and from mysteries to classics, all in great condition. Plus, you just can't find a better deal anywhere.

All proceeds from this sale support the library's Summer Reading Clubs and other programs throughout the year.

If you would like to attend the members-only sale in May, be sure to join the Friends while you are at the sale this weekend.

Entrance to the book sale at Headquarters Library is through the back door near the benches by the creek. All sales are cash or check only.
